from what i have read no german tanks attacked in Bois Jacques?? they were constantly hit with artillary and were always scared of an attack by armour but it never came.

Little bit of information about the ground held.

The cultivated woods that had been home to Easy for twelve days were called Bois Jacques. They extended to Easy's right (east) a couple of kilometres, to the railroad track and beyond. To its front (north) an open field sloped down to the village of foy.The germans held the bois jacques to the northeast.

You sure about that? I'm pretty damn sure there where tank attacks in the bois jacques.
I'll do a little online research.

If everything goes well, the map should be out tonight

I was wrong just read up on it some more. The below is from http://www.menofeasycompany.com

What was Christmas like for you?
Well, we didn't have any Christmas dinner. We just sat there and kept doing what we had been doing, waiting for the Germans. Each day was like the others, really. I remember that one day I crossed the road on a patrol, and that we later set up outposts along the road outside the forest, because that is where the Germans would try to sneak up on you. On another day a German tank came up the road and shelled us. There were never too many dull moments there.

It doesnt mention what tank it was so it can be what you want it to be :D

Hehe yeah. I'll just go with the Panther G.
Also on this map http://www.history.army.mil/books/wwii/7-8/notes/MapIV.jpg you can see the german fifth panzer div moving in around Bastogne and also through the Bois Jacques area at Foy. As their attacks where centered on Bastogne and Noville, Bois was just in the middle of it.

Yeh Easy were not really hit by any major attack in Bois Jacques(they got hit by shit loads of artillary), it seems this tank was a one off. It does mention in the book most the axis advances happened on the edges of the perimeter and not so much where easy were.

One question you got foxholes on this map?

Great man. Hope to catch you in there :)

It would be cool if I could make the trees destroyable meshes, so a tank or artillery shell could knock 'em down.
But I guess it would be rape on the performance.
