IMPORTANT: Delete your 'darkesthour' 2.0 folder before installing 3.0!

Important Notes For Server Admins:

These apply to server builds only, regular players do not need to worry about them at all.

1) There is a glitch in the server build (which I believe affects MN as well, so it's not just us) whereby for some unknown reason, the default map list gets cleared when the mod is run for the first time. This means that admins will need to set up their map lists themselves. The default maps are:

DH-Bois_Jacques
DH-Brecourt
DH-Carentan
DH-Foy
DH-Ginkel_Heath
DH-Hill_108
DH-JunoBeach
DH-Raids
DH-Stoumont
DH-Vieux
DH-Wacht_am_Rhein

2) There is a file called steam_appid.txt in the regular (non DH) system folder. Admins need to set the number in there to 1280.

3) Do not try to add custom maps to your server unless they are confirmed 3.0 compatible. If they are not, you will crash your server every time one of them attempts to load.

4) Lastly, and most importantly, anyone who downloaded a server package pre-emptively from external mirrors will need to delete that package and download it again. The download wasn't complete when it was distributed and there will be serious problems if you try and run with the original install. You will need to do a full clean download of the server files from HLDS.

How to download ?

I installed without deleting the 2.0 folder and it seemed to combine the folders, resulting in a GPF crash - I take it we're supposed to delete the old folder first?

Hmm, when I started DH (the newest one) it took me to the 2.0 version. So I think I have to delete the whole folder now and re-download it.

Yeah any word on issues involving having 2.0 still installed and if so can I rectify them by deleting 2.0 or must I redownload everything.

I forgot to delete the DH folder and installed 3.0, but it got messed up. So I now have deleted both 2.0 and 3.0 and re-downloading it. I hope it will work.
